Caution: Rip Currents; What to do when you’re caught

It is with great sadness to be receiving news, just yesterday, of two bodies who drowned at Sea, after getting caught in a rip current.

Since Panaga Club is by the beach, the Management thinks that it is best to give out a cautionary reminder to everyone about the dangers of a rip current and how you can possibly save yourself when you are caught in one. The diagram above indicates that you should be swimming parallel to the current, and not against it. As for those who are helping another person caught in the current, it is best to stop trying to pull them out or else you’ll get caught in it too.
