LIBRARY |
- The monthly fee is $5 per family or single status member.
- Located next to Administration Office. Holds a large number of both English and Dutch language books.
- Tickets allocation: 6 tickets per couple or single status or 2 tickets per child. Adults tickets may be used to borrow children’s books but children’s tickets may not be used to borrow adult books.
- DVDs (regardless) of their age rating and CDs may be taken out only on adult tickets, and may not be renewed.
- Period of loan: Three weeks.
- Over due books: Fines apply accordingly.
- Visitors who have temporary membership of the Club may use library tickets of their host family (with their permission) for the period of their stay. The visitor’s host is responsible for any fines or bills for lost or damaged items outstanding after the visitor’s departure.

NATURAL HISTORY SOCIETY (PNHS)
|
- No section fee.
- The Panaga Natural History Society is a group of people interested in nature. Our goal is to promote interest in nature among the Panaga community and to help those who are interested in learning more about the natural environment, its flora (forests, wildflowers, gardening, etc.) and fauna (birds, marine life, insects, etc.), and “nature travel “ in and around Brunei/Borneo. In addition, we support projects to increase nature awareness and nature conservation.

PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY (PPS)

- A single, non-refundable, initial registration fee of $10.
- The registration fee does not cover any other additional costs e.g. course fees; equipment use or loan; organized PPS events, for which separate charges may be levied.
- The Dark room is located on 1st floor access from the tennis court balcony – a compulsory induction HSE course is needed.

- Night badminton: For those who are quite busy in the office or other activities and find the time to play in late hours. It is to be noted that the courts on Tuesday and Thursday may not be available if these are booked for some pre organized functions. No booking of court is required for the above.
- Social evening: All welcome on each Friday evening from 17:30 to 19:30 hrs. Shuttle cocks will be provided by the section. Children below 10 years are not allowed. However children above 10 years can join if the court is empty.

FITNESS CENTRE |
- The annual fee is $100 per adult and child aged 18 above or $50 per child (junior) aged 16 up to below 18
- If you apply to join after 30th June the fee is $50 per adult or $25 per junior for the reminding year.
- Temporary membership is $10 per person per month or $5 per person per day (unlimited visit on the same day).
- Children under the age of 16 are not allowed to enter the Fitness Centre room.
- The parents must accept full responsibility for their junior child(ren) workouts in the room and they will not hold the Club responsible should their child(ren) sustain any injuries.
- All new members including temporary members must have an induction course on how to use equipment and safety awareness before using the Fitness Centre.
- No appointment required for fixed induction scheduled on Monday (09:00-09:30 hrs), Wednesday (12:15-12:45 hrs) and Friday (16:30-17:00 hrs).
- The room is opened daily from 06:00 to 21:30 hrs but it is closed for cleaning from 14:15 to 15:15 hrs on every Monday to Friday.

- There will be fees incurred for duplicate cards of $5 for Fitness Centre membership card and $15 for swipe card due to loss.

The Kuala Belait Boat Club is situated 13 km south of Panaga, on the outskirts of Kuala Belait township, on the North bank of the Belait River.
Club premises are the base for the many water sport activities, such as:
Cruising, Diving, Fishing, Hobie Catamarans, Kayaks, Optimists, Power Boats & Water Skiing, Rowing, Topper Topaz’s Lasers, Windsurfing plus a strong Pétanque section with night lit pitches in the club grounds.

- The Makan Angin II is a well-equipped 27ft racing yacht, owned by the KBBC, which can accommodate up to 6 people. Currently based at the KBBC, the yacht can be used for afternoon, day and weekend cruises by Panaga Club members and guests. Each trip needs a qualified skipper and competent mate on board. The boat is equipped to a high standard (EPIRB, GPS, VHF, liferaft, etc).

Powerboats and Fishing |
- The section currently has 3 boats. Nemo (Haines Bowrider 17ft) boat with a 150hp Mercury 2str engine, that is perfect for family trips up the river as well as water skiing activities – 6 pax capacity. Recently acquired larger powerboat (SeaSwirl 20ft) with a 150hp Suzuki 2str engine – 8 pax capacity. Fishing Boat Skylla (local fiberglass build, 30ft) with twin 90hp Honda 4-Str engines ideal for a larger group (10 Pax) expeditions up river.
- Water skiing optional - Club water skis, wake boards equipment and banana/donut available for hire ($20).

- Fun practice night every Friday from 20:30 hrs onwards in the Pelangi (1st floor).
- It is a good opportunity for members to pick up various social dancing skill as well as a good way to sweat out and to ocialize.
- Beginners or temporary members are always welcome; our experienced dancers are very willing to teach you a step or two.

THE AMATEUR DRAMATICS SOCIETY (TADS)
|
- No section fee.
- Hire charge of $25 to $100 for lights – dependent on set up.
- Pantomime – every year in late November, early December. Adult auditions take place mid September followed by 3 rehearsals per week (usually Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday).
- Play – usually end May. Auditions take place January / February. Rehearsals are 2 or 3 times per week.
- Technical side. TADS are ‘custodians of the stage, sound and lighting equipment’. If you wish to use these facilities for a function, please complete the relevant booking forms available at administration office.
- Training sessions. Members are invited to be trained to operate the modern sound and light kit. Interest should be registered with the Sound & Lights focal point. Courses run 3 to 4 times per year.
- Backstage – Set building/stage crew, painting, props, makeup, poster & programme design, all skill levels and type needed, from total beginners to ‘veterans’. Involved mainly in the Pantomime and play but also for ‘maintenance’ sessions. Power tools provided. Contact the stage manager.
- Props & Accessories – We have a wide range from small props and accessories to large ‘set pieces’ (e.g. Thrones & fireplaces) available for hire.
- Quiz nights, interactive dinners and other social events.

- The Dutch Committee is a subsection of Panaga Club Social Division with the primary objective of promoting and organizing typical Dutch events like cabaret, Sinterklaas, Kinderfeest and Dutch Night. The community is very active and supportive and not limited to Dutch families alone.

- The annual fee is $60 per adult or $120 per family.
- To support and to stimulate the Latino traditions, customs and culture for the educational benefits of its members.

MUMS & TODDLERS |
- The monthly fee is $8 per family. Deductions are made quarterly.
- Mainly cater for the 0-3 year old on Tuesdays and Fridays but the Family Playtime on Thursday afternoons is popular. Nursery Rhyme Time on Monday afternoons includes a puppet theatre and introduces the little ones to song, music and movement.
- Annual celebrations include: Easter, Summer Garden Party, Halloween and Santa’s visit. All are wonderful photo opportunities to keep the grandparents happy!
- First Aid and CPR classes are available to Mums and Toddlers members on a first-come first-serve basis. Our certified nurse conducts small classes and asks to include your amah so you can be certain she knows infant and child first aid and CPR as well.

- The main objective of the Nigerian Section is to encourage members and provide avenue for cultural interaction and socialization at which all Members of the PANAGA CLUB are welcomed.
- The section will hopefully extend further the diverse attributes of the Panaga Club and will provide information and education to other members on the larger African culture.
- We would also work closely with other sections of the club as necessary in continuous pursuit of excellence in Panaga Club.
- Monthly ‘Naija Night’, an informal social night, is open for participation to any interested member of Panaga club. For details call or drop a line to either of the contacts on the right hand column.

- A Social club for Australians and New Zealanders (and like minded foreigners) who have an interest in sport.
- Sundowner meetings are held monthly on the last Friday evening of each month.

SCOTTISH COMMUNITY (KBSC)/HIGHLAND GAMES

- No section fee.
- The ‘Scottish Community’ in Kuala Belait exists to enable traditional celebration of key events in the Scottish calendar. Our functions are organized by a committee of volunteers and are spread throughout the year. They include Burns’ Night, the Panaga Highland Games, St. Andrew’s Night, and other social activities such as Ceilidhs with traditional Scottish Dancing.
- Like all good Scottish Clans the Scottish Community has a Chieftain.
- The Highland Games are a major sporting event open to all, and are held in late June on the Panaga Padang. Track and field events are held throughout the day along with children’s activities for a family day out. Performances by the Massed Pipes and Drums of the Gurkha battalion lend a true flavour of Scotland in the Far East.

TO WELCOME OTHERS (T.W.O.) |
- No section fee.
- We have a committee of 9 ladies from Shell, Non Shell, and Army. The aim of this group is to include everyone in the community which is why we try to have a mix of ladies on the committee. This is very important to new people arriving in Brunei, as it gives them an opportunity to socialize on a regular basis.
- We plan a monthly event every second Thursday of the month where we ask volunteers in the community to come along and give a talk or demonstration.
- If we are unable to arrange the Thursday morning with a topic then we would just have a coffee morning. This generally happens around July/August when everyone is away on leave. We have some new ideas, and plan to bring those together during the following months.

- There are many varied and different supervised activities undertaken. To inform PYC in writing if you do not wish your child(ren) to take part in any specific activity.

- The newly refurbished Jungle House is located on the left as you drive into the Club.
- Activities: Dance Hip Hop, Mums & Todds, Yoga and Youth Club are the main users of it’s facilities. Private children parties are allowed.

ATHLETICS (PANAS) |
- $3 per person, for each monthly run which can be put on a chit if a member of the Panaga Club or cash.
- Training runs on Mondays & Fridays.
- Interval training/sprints on Wednesdays.
- Meet @ 17:30 hrs, Panaga Beach Shelter, rear of the playground.
- Monthly 5 & 10km Fun Runs, split into 6-race series, Jan – Jun & Jul – Dec. Meet 17.00 for 17:15 start 10km, 17.15 for 17.30 start 5km run.
- Fastest runner and handicap points system. The results of the best 4 races count towards the final standings. Expensive trophies are awarded to the first three in the mens/ladies handicap and fastest runner categories at the end of each 6–race series.
- Newcomers are always welcome to join us. We have a variety of levels and speeds joining. Typically we get between 20-30 runners; occasionally more!

AUSTRALIAN RULES FOOTBALL
|
- All players must be registered prior to participating in the program and registration fees of $20 for new members and $10 per program for ongoing participants are payable to the Section.
- AFL Auskick program for children aged between 5 and 12 years of age. The structured weekly coaching program, using coaching resources from the Australian Football League’s Junior program, teaches the skills of the game through appropriately modified activities and rules. In addition it gives the children the opportunity to play football in a fun and safe environment.

- Nets and practice sessions on the Padang every Sunday at 16:00 hrs.

- Mixed hockey – Every Tuesday the hockey section gathers for a game on the Padang at 19:15 hrs.
- Floor Hockey – The hockey section sponsors a floor hockey game Thursday nights from 19:00 - 20:30. This is open to all section members, so come out at give it a try!
- Ladies Hockey – In-active at the moment.
- Social – As well as regular games and matches the hockey section has some social events through the year. These are open to everyone and are a great opportunity to come along and meet the club and have a casual knock about.

- Social matches on Wednesday evenings from 18:30 hrs & on Sunday afternoons from 17:00 hrs.

RUGBY |
- The monthly fee is $10 per family. Deductions are made quarterly.
- For insurance purposes, parents must sign their child(ren) in each week and remain on Club premises for the duration of the session.
- We are always looking for new members to help the voluntary coaches at the Junior Rugby (Friday from 17:30-18:30 hrs).
- Variety of sessions throughout the week for all ages.
- For adults there is mixed touch rugby, women’s touch rugby, and some contact rugby.
- On Fridays from 17:30-18:30 hrs – Junior rugby for children of all ages and levels. This session is run by volunteers and usually involves some skills training, followed by tag rugby.

No advance bookingrequired – just come to the desk at 18:15 hrs and sign in for the next available slot. You maysign upindividually, with a partner, or with a completedoubles group of 4. Singles matches will be allowed only if courts are available. Playersmay play again on the second hour if no one is waiting.

- Cancellation of membership must be advised in writing to Administration Office. Members who resign are only allowed to re-apply after six months from the termination date.
- Resign on or before 14th of the month – No charge for that month.

DANCE
MPH Small Hall |
- The monthly fee is $35 per person by one class in a week.
- Minimum age to register: 6 months prior to minimum age for starting:
- Classical Ballet – 4 years
- Girls Hip Hop – 6 years
- Boys Hip Hop – 5 years
- Parents are refrained from raising queries with the dance teacher during lesson time. This ensures that classes run to schedule and disruptions are kept to a minimum. Direct all queries to dance@panagaclub.com OR to the Dance Committee in writing.
- Waiting Lists – These exist for most junior classes and Hip Hop classes. You will be informed by e-mail when a place becomes available, based on a first come first serve basis for the right spot. Once a place has been allocated you will be contacted again to fill in an acceptance form to secure the place and authorize for class fee deduction.
- RAD Requirements – Classical Ballet students are required to abide by the dress and hair codes set out by RAD at all times. To be eligible to sit for RAD ballet exams, above the primary level, students must attend the 2 classes per week allocated to their grade.

- Lessons will be given on an individual basis.
- No payment is required for long leave or planned absences; however old schedules may or may not be retained depending on the availability of the slot. Students who take long leave (three weeks or more) cannot be assured of their usual schedule of lessons upon their return.
- No lessons will be given on the following public holidays: National Day, HM The Sultan’s Birthday, Hari Raya, Christmas Day and Chinese New Year. Otherwise lessons will continue over school holidays and BSP holidays.
- Notification of planned annual leave, long absence of at least two weeks, and termination of lessons must be made at least one month ahead.
- All absence and termination of lessons must be submitted to the teacher in writing on prescribed form; available in the music room or from Panaga Club office.
- In cases of isolated absence, a make-up lesson will be arranged provided a notice of at least two days before the planned absence date is given. Otherwise the lesson is forfeited and charged.
- Monthly fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Cancelled lessons on teachers’ part, the PMS designated public holidays and notified long absence/annual leave (of at least one month ahead) will not be charged.
- Fees will be charged in advance by direct debit from your club account on the 1st day of the month. You are advised to submit your resignation / absence forms by the end of the month.
- The purchase of music books, photocopied sheets and other materials on Panaga Club premises must be paid by chit.

- Quality swim lessons and coaching provided by Professional Coach.
- Membership is open to Panaga Club members over 3 years of age.
- The monthly fee is $20/person/calendar month.
- The monthly fee for Competition Squad (by invitation only) is $80/person/calendar month.
- The monthly fee for Competition Squad (by invitation only) is $80/person/calendar month.
- Waiting Lists apply to most of our learn-to-swim classes.
- Parental participation is mandatory for the lower levels of learn-to swim.
- Parent or nominated representative must remain poolside during swimming lessons (for classes where parents are not in the water with their child).

2. Monthly Competition Squad Additional Fees Structure (inclusive of $5 membership fee):
- First person in family $80
- Second person in family $65
- Third person in the family $50
- Children will be continually assessed by the Head Coach/Assistant Coach and placed automatically in the appropriate section. Please note that you will be informed if there is an associated fee increase following a promotion, the revised fee automatically taking effect from the following month.
- Parents are actively encouraged to join in with Saturday morning swim instructing.
- You, or your nominated representative, must be on the poolside throughout your child’s swimming lesson.
- To ensure safety and appropriate conduct in and around the pool area when attending myself/with my family.
- Competition Squad – Sportsmanship Code of Conduct.
