2009 Rottness Channel 20km Swim

Ian completed the 2009 Rottnest Channel Swim Solo crossing in 8hrs 58mins 48secs coming in 119 out 139 solo swimmers.

Although sunburnt, and suffering from stingers and rashes, I feel recovered and a great sense of achievement.

Would like to express my sincere thanks to my support team in Perth, and to all the generous donations from BSP staff, contractors and also Shell staff in SDA in support of Learning Ladders in Brunei who raise awareness of Autism and support families. To date nearly B$5000 has been raised. Please watch this space to learn how this money is being used.

Many thanks, Ian Donaldson

The team completed the 2008 swim in 6hours 21mins 25secs, coming in 26th out of 83 in the Mens 150+ Age catergory, and overall 80 out of 306.

In this years 2009 Rottnest Channel Swim, Ian Donaldson will race in the Solo category in his first attempt to complete the 20km swim. Ian is hoping to raise at least $2000 for the Learning Ladder Society which provides educational support for Autistic Children. Any donations will be much appreciated, and please leave money with Nor Yap at the Admin office. Refer  www.learning-ladders.blogspot.com for more details on this organisation.

Thanks for your support, Ian

Christmas 2004 Fun Swim:

Panaga Pool was packed with happy, giggling little StingRays who were being rewarded for their hard work during the previous year.  A huge thanks to Serikandi for providing the refreshments and a tasty supper for all the hungry mouths.  Don’t fall off !
