Productions

T.A.D.S major production each year, in December, is the Pantomime, although it is an English tradition, the Panaga participants are a truly international bunch. Many people make their stage debut with a chorus part in the panto, moving onto principal roles for the next show, definitely a case of being bitten by the bug.

Over one hundred people participate in the panto, the majority being involved with putting the show together - from set design and building, painting, wardrobe design and sewing, makeup design, props, poster and programme design, sound and light design, front of house. Then there are those involved at performance time - stage crew, sound and light operatives, musical director, musicians, prompt and of course, not forgetting the actors!

We have five performances, two of which are on Saturday, the ever popular matinee selling out as soon as tickets go on sale.

The other traditional show is ‘The May Play(s’ which take place just before the half term break, a much smaller project, but of the same high standards as the panto.

On the entertainment front we have also put on an interactive dinner theatres - the most recent one being ‘Murder at St. Cakes’ - a murder mystery dinner where the dress code was school uniform, we even had a school bus to get to the venue. Several pupils chose to accessorise their outfits with water pistols and/or pea-shooters!

We also hold quiz nights.
