The Amateur Dramatics Society - TADS

Welcome to the web pages of ‘The Amateur Dramatics Society’ of Panaga Club, or T.A.D.S. as we are affectionately known.

T.A.D.S. is a very active section of the Panaga Club, there is no subscription charge and is open to all Panaga Club members. You don’t need to be a raving thespian to join, a sense of humour and a capacity for fun is all you need.

There are many ways to get involved, from acting to construction and stage crew, sound and lights, make up, costumes, props and prompts. Details for auditions/production crew are publicised around the Club, the BSP offices, the Garrison, and Panaga and Hornbill schools and on BFBS.

Auditions for the panto take place in mid September, and auditions for the May play usually in mid February.

Wanted New Committee Members

If you are interested in joining our lively, sociable committee (not high brow stuff!) please leave a note with the front office and we'll get back to you. We are looking for a secretary and 3 general members, ( 1 with techie interests would be very welcome), plus additional help with wardrobe.

2 Opportunities To Recycle

Do you have any 'dressing up stuff' – adult or kids – which you no longer want or need? Rather than it cluttering up your wardrobe, or taking up freight space if you are moving on, why not give it a good home in TADS wardrobe?

Contact any of the wardrobe team.

We are also looking for 'household items' which we use when putting together a set for the plays – eg bits and pieces you would find in a living room, kitchen etc. It doesn't matter what condition things are in.

TADS Wardrobe

The perfect place to hire costumes for themed parties.

Most of our costumes them have been made for past productions, many have been brought in from the UK for specific themed parties – where else would you find 'Austin Powers' and 'Dr. Evil'.

You find us through the Kenyalang cafe. Our usual opening time is Thursday 4:15 to 6:15, although this may change during school/public holidays Check the poolside noticeboard for details.

We are also looking for additional help with wardrobe to cover for holidays etc, if you would like to help pop along during the opening times to see what's involved.
