Roles and Responsibilities

Commodore

Elected Position

Chairs the KBBC Main Committee Meetings. Represents the KBBC at the Panaga MCM.

Secretary

Elected Position

• Calls and attends all Committee Meetings.
• Minutes all such meetings and reports to the Committee in a timely fashion.
• Copies all Minutes to the Secretary of the Panaga Club.
• Liaises with other boat clubs as necessary especially reciprocal clubs.

Treasurer

Elected Position

• Attends all Committee Meetings.
• Responsible for the administration of funds and accounts and advises the KBBC Committee of the financial position of the Club.
• Reports yearly at the AGM to all Members and is one of the main signatories for any expenditure.

Vice Commodore (470s sailing)

Elected Position

• Chairs the 470s dinghy sailing sub-committee and reports the activities to the KBBC Committee.
• Represents the Commodore at all KBBC functions if he is unable to attend.

Rear Commodore (Hobie Cat sailing)

Elected Position

• Chairs the Hobie Cat sailing sub-committee and reports the activities to the KBBC Committee.
• Represents the Commodore at all KBBC functions if he or the Vice Commodore is unable to attend.

Powerboat Member (including water skiing)

Elected Position

• Chairs the Powerboat sub-committee and reports the activities to the KBBC Committee.

Diving Member

Elected Position

• Chairs the Diving sub-committee and reports the activities to the KBBC Committee.

Cruising Member

Elected Position

• Chairs the Cruising sub-committee and reports the activities to the KBBC Committee.

Rowing Member

Elected Position

• Chairs the Rowing sub-committee and reports the activities to the KBBC Committee.

Fishing Member

Elected Position

• Is a member of the Powerboat sub-committee.
• Reports on the activities to the KBBC Committee.

Kayaking Member

Elected Position

• Is a member of the Rowing sub-committee.
• Reports on the activities to the KBBC Committee.

Optimist Member

Elected Position

• Chairs the Optimist sub-committee and reports the activities to the KBBC Committee.

Boardsailing Member

Elected Position

• Reports on the activities to the KBBC Committee.

Pétanque Member

Elected Position

• Reports on the activities to the KBBC Committee.

Social Activities Member

Elected Position

• Responsible for functions and private parties held at KBBC.
• Notifies the KBBC Committee and the Panaga Club Secretary so that request can be granted or denied.
• Displays the event so that seven days notice is given on the Panaga Club and KBBC notice boards.
• Ensures an entry made in the Club Circular the week before the event.

House Member

Elected Position

• Liaises with the Restaurant contract holder on a regular basis.
• Responsible for any complaints regarding catering.Overall responsibility for the upkeep and maintenance of the KBBC buildings.
