Library Section

We encourage all Panaga Club members to join the Library Section. The Panaga Library is well-stocked with excellent English and Dutch lending items, which are continually updated with the latest releases from abroad. We have adult and children fiction, non-fiction and reference books (on traveling, cooking etc.), first-quality DVDs for both adults and children and audiobooks.

The Library is located within Panaga Club, adjacent to the Club Administration Office.

Opening Hours

We are closed on public holidays and long weekends.

Volunteers

The Library is operated by an all-volunteer staff and new volunteers are warmly welcomed! Training is provided on an ongoing basis. A volunteer commitment is usually not more than 1 ½ to 2 hours per week and is extremely flexible. Volunteering is a wonderful way to integrate into our community of life-long learners. Please indicate your interest to a librarian on duty, or via email to library@panagaclub.com

Book club

Once every month the book club comes together in the library to discuss a particular book. Everyone is encouraged to join us whether you’ve read the book or not. Coffee, tea, and light refreshments will be served. The book club is open to all members of the Panaga Club.

Donations

We are happy to receive donated books. Our volunteer staff will determine whether your items are best placed on our lending shelves, or in our “Never-ending Book Sale.” These bargain books are located in the Club’s foyer, where books are sold for $1 per book, payable by chit.

What would you like to see in our library?

The Library does need your help in nominating new titles for purchase. You can fill out a form in the library with your suggestions, or you can email them to library@panagaclub.com

Fees are $5.00 per family per month.
